About e-Visits and Online Services

Access Psychiatry strives to offer our patients convenient and high quality care. One of the ways we do this is by offering our patients online health services through this website. Healthcare is made easier with online visits or “eVisits,” a unique service that allows established patients to receive non-urgent confidential online follow-up treatment rather than coming in for an office visit. EVisits also eliminate the inconvenience of travel and wait time on hold when calling to schedule an appointment. E-vists is an on-line communication between you and Access Psychiatry. It was developed at Baylor University Medical School and enables you to ask questions, get some answers, or share information that permits us to interact with you--when you need it--prior to your next scheduled appointment.

The patientally.com portal includes e-Vists, online communication with your provider for appointment requests and scheduling, answering questions, medication refills, safe and confidential medical record access, lab results, and a way to update your contact information. Access Psychiatry follows the American Medical Association’s Guidelines for Physician-Patient Electronic Communications, which articulate best practices for electronic communications.

How eVisits Work

  • There is a $35 charge per eVisit, which can be paid online with a credit card. Most insurances companies are not yet paying for eVisits in our area.
  • Your provider may ask you to provide additional information to help address your issue. There is no charge for those additional communications.
  • If your provider determines that an office visit is necessary, you will not be charged for the eVisit.
  • Medication changes or refills are sent electronically to your pharmacy for your convenience.
  • When the program asks you what is the reason for the eVisit, type in “depression,” or “anxiety,” or “insomnia.”
