innovation in targeting cancer

Overview

Providing expert clinical services in a warm, welcoming environment for a variety of needs, including bipolar, depression, anxiety disorders, panic, attention disorders, PTSD, insomnia.

Psychiatric services are offered to adults and adolescents, 17 years and older. Prior to the first visit, many patients already suspect or know that they have depression or bipolar disorder (go to Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance at www.dbsalliance.org); anxiety ("nerves,") obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress (go to Anxiety Disorder Association of America at www.adaa.org), or insomnia. Other patients don't have a name for what's causing their distress, but they know that something isn’t right.

Access Psychiatry can respond to fit your needs and requirements. This care can take many forms. For example, the patient who receives most of their care from their primary care provider may need attention to just some of the symptoms. Other patients will visit Access Psychiatry for a second opinion or a follow-up consultation for treatment provided by others. Sometimes a "fresh pair of eyes" can see something new and useful. A comprehensive treatment review can often fill in the “missing pieces,” resulting in improved health.

Access Psychiatry provides a holistic view which may include assessing biological, medical, nutritional, psychological, and social factors which may be impacting on your stated needs. This comprehensive assessment will engage you in a partnership for health which may include medication, therapy, and medical assessments. For more information on medication and pharmacology, excellent resources include the National Library of Medicine www.nimh.nih.gov and the National Institute of Mental Health www.nlm.nih.gov.

Insurance

Access Psychiatry is an in-network provider at the Knoxville office and a fee for service provider at the Loudon location.
Insurances: Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cariten, Cigna, GEHA, Humana, Medicare, MHN, Prudential, United Healthcare, ValueOptions, Tricare, United Behavioral Health, and more.

If you have health insurance, her office will speak with you regarding the need for preauthorization, co-payments, and other aspects of your insurance coverage.

At this Knoxville location, we bill your insurance directly.

At the Loudon location, patients who do have insurance are often able to receive partial reimbursement for services. Your insurance carrier may reimburse you for payments you have made to Susan Eby, even though she is an “out-of-network” provider at this location. If you want to request partial reimbursement from your insurance carrier, she will provide you with a signed receipt for services containing all the necessary information for your insurance carrier to process a reimbursement to you. You then mail this receipt to your insurance for reimbursement. Every insurance company and plan has different policies and reimbursement rates.

Fees with and without insurance at Loudon clinic:

First visit $45
All other visits and writing of reports, letters are a flat rate of $45

Overhead is low at this clinic compared to a traditional Knoxville practice since Mrs. Eby doesn’t file insurance or have a billing department. All payments are collected at time of service so that Mrs. Eby can pass the savings onto her patients. This clinic can work well for you if you’re uninsured, or don’t have conventional insurance but have a high-deductible, hospital-only coverage. You will end up spending a lot less out-of-pocket in a year than if you have a traditional PPO plan with a co-pay. If you have insurance, you can submit your own claim and get reimbursed on an out-of-network basis.
